INTRODUCTION
WELCOME TO THE GODS OF YOGA ONLINE COURSE!
I'm so excited to have you in this course!
This course is made up of fourteen modules, each one approximately 2 hours in length. You can take it one module per day, or pace it out slower based on your own needs.
Each module is broken down into four sections:
- LECTURE
- PRACTICE
- LEARN MORE
- ACTIVITY
If you're doing this course to receive a Yoga Alliance continuing education 30hr certificate, you must complete all sections of all modules to receive the certificate. Any written activities, you'll be required to send to [email protected] (if typing them, you can send as a document, or if hand-writing, send as a photo) in order to receive credit.
If you're just doing it for fun or to deepen your own practice, have a blast! Either way, I hope you enjoy every moment.
HOW TO APPROACH THIS COURSE
If doing one module per day, I would recommend doing the first two sections ("Lecture" & "Practice") in the morning when you first wake up, to start your day with asana, pranayama, and meditation.
Then, when you settle in before bed, do the last two sections--"Learn More," which is typically a video or teaching from a famous yoga scholar about the topic discussed that day, and "Activity," which is usually a reading, quiz, and/or writing exercise.
The asana progresses in difficulty through the modules--where the first few practices are slow and traditional, by the end, we'll experiment with some advanced hand balances and binds. Listen to your body and your needs, and never push yourself further than your body feels like going that day!
LET'S STAY IN TOUCH THROUGHOUT THE PROCESS
